Shopping in the Netherlands is a mix of modern convenience and charming tradition. Supermarkets like Albert Heijn are everywhere, but the Dutch also love their specialty shops — a trip to de bakker (the baker) or de markt (the market) on Saturday morning is a weekend ritual.
